Volvo Rolling out First Ever Plug-In Diesel Hybrid
In the ever-changing world of powertrain technologies, many different formulas have been tested out and prototyped. One may ask, well if clean diesels get 40+ MPG, and hybrids save fuel, why not combine the two technologies?
Well, that question has been answered in the form of this: the V60 diesel plug-in hybrid. Though there have been a couple diesel hybrids offered, this is the first diesel plug-in hybrid, and represents the pinnacle of the ideal of the new movement in drivetrain technology: combining multiple versions of fuel saving tech in one vehicle.
We can’t wait to see these hitting the dealerships in 2014.
